Cleasing:
Carbon can absorb oil and contaminants from deep within the pores. When the laser is passed over the treatment area it targets and destroys the carbon particles, taking any absorbed material with it.
Exfoliating: As the carbon is targeted by the laser, it blasts away dead skin cells, blackheads and effectively exfoliates the skin. The result is softer, radiant skin with reduced pore size and more even skin tone.

The heat produced by carbon peels has 2 additional benefits. How many treatments will I need? Treating unwanted pigment and stimulating collagen within your skin is a gradual process that requires multiple sessions to produce effective results. The number of sessions required depends on the type and severity of your aesthetic concern. The Hollywood Laser Peel may only require 1-3 treatments and melasma management may require 6 or more. Your provider will recommend a treatment course expectation that is right for you.
Is there any downtime? With virtually little to no downtime, you may immediately return to your daily activities.
Does the treatment hurt? Most patients report very little discomfort. They describe the treatment sensation as a warm prickly feeling with a rapid snapping sound while the laser delivers energy to the skin. Typically, no anesthesia or topical is needed.
